This afternoon on my way back from Tampa, I picked up the phone and called Mari from the Maitland Farmers' Market. She wasn't in, but I left a message. I told her I wanted to submit my application for a booth to begin September 5. Then I gulped and hung up the phone. A few hours later, Mari called me back. I recapped my intentions and asked a battery of questions. What denotes the commitment required for the lower weekly rate of $15? A 40 week commitment. What types of photos does she want of my display? Just photos of my cookies. Do I need to do anything else for vendor approval? Nope, just send in the application. Can I sell chilled drinks? Yes, but keep prices consistent with the other vendors. When is the payment due? Pay for the month due on the first Sunday of the month. Mari welcomed me to the market and seemed geniunely excited about my involvement. I hung up and took a deep breath. I was committed. Instead of feeling scared and anxious, I felt empowered. I am doing this. I am really doing this!
Many hugs,
Kathy
