Tomorrow is a big day for Heartsong Cookies. I meet with the Department of Agriculture at 3:00 to get my license. As real as everything seems now, the license will mean there is no turning back. I keep pinching myself that this is all happening. And reminding myself the clock is ticking...two weeks and counting. I have a good idea of the cookie menu for our opening week and a clear picture of what the booth will look like. Problem is, I have absolutely no idea how many cookies to bake or how many people will show up. It is a bit scary.
This afternoon I received an e-mail from my friend Karen that left a big smile on my face. She has been doing research the last several weeks to master creation of a PES file. This format digitizes a logo into a format that can be read by high end embroidery machines...like the ones my sister-in-law, Kevina has. Attached to the e-mail were two PES files Karen created...one for my logo type and one for the three icons. I cannot wait to test them out. I love the way everything is coming together. But even more, I love the way everyone is chipping in their special expertise. Heartsong Cookies is a true collaborative effort of exceptional people. It is all coming together exactly like I dreamed it would.
Many hugs,
Kathy
