Lots of Love - Days 236 - 237

Tonight I am tired and content.  The day at the market was beautiful.  It was Family Fun Day, so the park was teaming with families enjoying the gorgeous weather.  A lot of my regulars bypassed the market today...probably because of the horrific parking, but all in all it was a great day.  As I sat down to reflect on the last two days and write my blog, an overwhelming theme came to mind.  A theme I have discussed before, but a theme that needs revisiting,  It takes a village to make a Heartsong Cookie!

It never ceases to amaze me how fortunate I am to have the support of my family and friends as I embark on my venture into the world of entrepreneurship.  They all contribute so many little things that are never noticed as the sweet treat is devoured.  They are my village.  From my husband Mike who packs up his car for the market every Friday night and unloads and loads again every Saturday.  To my friend Susan who gets up early every Saturday just to drive her son Chris over to the house to head to the market as my special booth assistant.  From my brother, Michael that stops by the kitchen almost every Friday night to scoop dough and bag cookies and comes again on Saturday at market's end to pack me up  To my friend, Dennis that drives all the way from Winter Garden to keep me company on market day.  My mom who also stops by every Saturday to cheer me on and make sure I offer every passer by a Heartsong sample.  And then there is Kenda and Mark that stop by the kitchen most Friday nights to help and keep me company.  Morgan, the amazing designer that reached into my head and pulled out my perfect logo and website that reflect exactly what I want the company to be.  Jen at Bikes, Beans and Bordeaux that gave me my first retail opportunity and referred me to Tiffany at Virgin Olive Market that kicked my retail sales up a notch.   Lynne that reads my blog and facebook postings religiously and knows the perfect time to step in and offer help at the kitchen.

Yes, this is my village...a village filled with lots of love.  This is the village that puts that love into every Heartsong Cookie.  I know you thought only hugs and sugar went into every bite.  Now you know the rest of the story.

Many hugs,
Kathy
