The little bit of free time I have is often spent watching Food Network or Top Chef on Bravo. I enjoy Giada, Ina and Bobby. But when it comes to my favorite chef, there is no equal. Ryan cooks the food that makes my heart sing. Tonight he outdid himself with a special family dinner for my mom and brother. Ryan makes simple, tasty food very, very well.
We began with a Goat Cheese Topped Chicken Breast served with a Lemon Risotto...a to die for risotto. Then he brought out the surprise...a homemade yellow cake topped with a crushed pineapple syrup, whipped cream frosting and toasted coconut. It was like a pina colada only sooooo much better. My mom loved it. My brother loved it. I really loved it. The flavors were perfect, but my favorite part was not lifting the fork fulls to my mouth. My favorite part was watching Ryan's confidence and love of food blossom with every meal he prepares. I can't wait to come along for his next culinary adventure.
